By Using reusable or recyclable packaging and packaging made from recycled materials we are minimising waste and our handy swap it service means that we’re not sending out non-reusable boxes to our customers.
Reducing our impact of printing and photocopying, which has decreased over 75% in the last 12 months, is mostly about reducing the use of paper. We use e-mail correspondence as much as possible and share information via our Facebook page, Twitter feed and through the news section of our website instead of sending multiple letters. Any paper that is no longer needed is always recycled.
A major part of our eco-friendly approach is to use local drivers and engineers so as to reduce carbon emissions. We deliver to customers all over the country and by using local installers we can minimise the amount of travel for our engineers.
We also enforce a product end-of-life return program, for Avantek supplied and all other manufacturers’ hardware to ensure electrical products are recycled in an environmentally sound way at a fair cost.
We use recycling facilities developed with strategic partners to ensure economical and environmentally sound management of end-of-life electronics hardware. This enables us to turn unwanted products into valuable commodities that can be reused to produce new products.

To request a take back offer, please include the following information in your e-mail to us:
- Quantity and description (type, brand and model) of the old device(s) you would like to return.
- Your address including telephone number, fax number and e-mail address.
It’s as simple as that!!
After a few days you will receive a take back offer including logistical and recycling services which will outline the cost of recycling your machine. To accept the offer, simply sign the documentation and return it either via fax or e-mail to the indicated Avantek service partner.
The invoice will be provided by Avantek. If necessary, payment should be made to Avantek Computer who will then organise the collection of you obsolete equipment. The carrier will contact you prior to collection and your equipment will be collected from your front door or goods exit. It will then be re-used or recycled in an environmentally friendly way.
